Oh no mate :(

Ur octy is sweet.... Hope all is ok dude

Cheers buddy,

it's not the end of the world, but short version is I'm affected by yesterday's announcement by Lloyds.

So, depending on the job situation next March(ish) - I'll either be sitting on my redundancy money and economising big time (or) maybe buying a new/ex-dem car of some description. If I find a new job quickly then it's (highly) likely that I'll be doing signifciant mileage visiting clients etc again - so diesel will be the order of the day.

I can't see a situation where I'll be able to keep the missile at this point though :wall:

  • Yes I realise that, Lloyd was checking to see if he could get a 'pass', which has now been granted - hence his comments about a 330bhp taxi ! I'm already getting 'Nitrous envy' seeing that a few pee

Pesky lloyds :(

..........

To pm i go

Just for information, it's a long trip for me too so I'm only going to be in attendance if I'm sure the weathers going to be alright - long way to go to be dissapointed!

As above I'm not sure it all depends on the weather due to the distance. My mate will not be coming in his Supra now if I come as he had a big off at Castle Combe on Saturday and ending up going into the tyre wall. Will check the pennies and see if I can make it down myself even if I drag him along as a passenger.

^^ Ouch!

So what happens with insurance when you end up like the above? Your "regular" insurance would not cover motorsport use of the car (unless you friend bought one of course) and track ay insurance only covers 3rd party and not damage to your car.

As I never droe my own car around a track please be patient with me .

Track day insurance i believe covers you for events such as these above or so i think anyway. He didnt have any cover on the day and normal insurance wont pay out for the damage. We are going to strip it and rebuild it ourselves aslong.as everything is straight underneath the panelwork.

Rear wheel looks a little inwards? :(

I should be down btw :)

I should be down btw :)

The rear wheels did sit inwards before the bbs alloys are narrower than the wheels that came.on the car as standard so sit inwards slightly. He norrmally runs spacers but takes them off for track

I have spoke the organisers and told them we will have 15 to 20 cars, so the spot/s will be booked/reserved for us.

If my Turbo issue gets sorted I will want to run my car :)

Well, despite very bad news yesterday that means I'll probably be parting with my car much sooner than expected, I'm still looking forward to this big time and hoping for a dry day

i hope it works out for you mate!!!

Not sure how much I trust weather forecasts but...

Taking a look at Santa Pod Raceway over the coming week and the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 12°C, with a high for the week of 14°C expected on Thursday afternoon. The mean minimum temperature will be 6°C, dipping to its lowest on Wednesday morning at 5°C. Expect the next week to have some days seeing a little precipitation and some days with rain. Predictions are Sunday will have the most precipitation with an accumulation of around 12.0mm. On the whole winds are likely to be moderate.

12mm would be enough to put me off going.... Lets see how this pans out. There is a decent high pressure which appears to be coming our way for the end of the week, so that might bring calmer conditions.....

Looks like I will be bringing a car full along, and hopefully will be able to run my car on the strip :D

Take it you fixed the car then Tigger.

Hopefully get the map sorted for nitrous Tomo after work.

I've got some work being done saturday morning regardless of the weather. However, the forecast on saturday will dictate whether I leave Devon for my relations near the Pod or not.... I'll be gutted if I don't go, and as a result might well look at one of the other RWYB days to still get rid of this NOS.

RWYB days run on 21 and 28 October and that seems to be it for 2012. :(

The weather will totally dictate if I come to this. I've taken a deposit on my car, and the new owner knows that I'm intending to go, but if it looks like rain I'm not going to put uneccessary mileage on the car for the sake of it.

Santa-pod is miserable when it's wet :rain:
