Golf GTI rims on a skoda?

Featured Replies

Yes, but they'd not look good IMO. I don't think that style will suit the octavia.

At that price they will be replicas. Personally if you want the monza2 design I'd go for second hand genuine wheels rather than fakes.

02p etc.

Ye i do like the design of them, never seen them on a skoda so was wondering if they fitted or not.

Are replicas generally poor quality then?

i do however, know the neptunes certainly go well on the gti.....

I must agree, they only look good on the Golf.

But I do agree with JR RS

Cheers for the responses & opinions guys, i think a set of anthracite coloured 1s would look smart though.

I like them on that fabia, think they look great.

R32 rims look good

Far poorer quality. This goes for all replica wheels. They corrode in no time at all and brake dust just eats them. Would be better to buy kerbed genuine ones off ebay then refurb them.

It's been done before and they really really don't work on Octavias for some reason.

Edit - yes, I've seen them on mk1 fabias and they don't look too bad on those. It's just Octavias where they look bad. It's like the car's just too big and the wrong shape for them.

Found two piccies, took them from the German board.

And a photoshopped one:

The german one looks pants. The photoshop one ok. Weird. Apart from VW badges obviously. Teh problem is anyone who knows about cars knows that its the wrong wheels for the car. Decent aftermarket wheels works better and looks more bespoke IMO.

Always makes me laugh when i see a golf and A4 driving around on bentley alloys. Looks absolutely mince.

Even though I know its so, so wrong... Those GTI wheels look the goods.

I wonder what they'd look like in gunmetal, on a Race Blue wagon. :o

Gunmetal makes everything look good. Once ive buggered my new ones off a few kerbs i'll refurb them in gunmetal. Lush.
