Hi Guys,

I got my 1.2 HTP recently serviced and found out lately while i was driving, when i shift the gear to neutral the tachometer starts dancing between 15K to less than 10K of RPM and i can feel the same with the engine, i initially thought this was a tachometer problem(Some battery issue) but the engine also sounds little bit different when the revs go up and down, when i just turn the engine off pull the key then this problem does not appear, now i do not know what and how do i replicate this problem in front of the skoda service engineers.

Has any one faced this issue what might be the problem, can any one suggest/ help me.

I'd like to have a go in a Fabia that revs all the way to 15k rpm ;-)

If the engine RPM is bouncing you either have an issue with the throttle body or more than likely an air leak.

The fact it's just been serviced sounds like they have left a pipe off somewhere :/

@Tech1e - why is this not happening continuously, it happens sometime, this is petrol engine, or is it because of something else ,can anyone explain please, thanks
