Felicia Airbag Light

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone!

My P-reg Felicia has an airbag light which won't go out. I was told by the previous owner that the problem started after fixing the steering lock following a break-in.

I tested the voltage across the battery a while ago, and it didn't exceed 14V (ish) with revs.

I've interrogated the ECU with one of these (http://www.amazon.co...A/dp/B001C9V89A), and it throws up an airbag fault code: "588 - airbag ignition circuit - driver side -N95". I can erase the fault code, but this just makes the light go out briefly before coming back on again.

I know some people have had success by replacing the voltage regulator, but I'm not sure there's a problem with mine.

Could it be a dodgy connection somewhere, or chafed cable? Has anyone else had this problem?

Most grateful for any help!

Thanks,

Joe.

Thanks uma1998.

I fixed it yesterday. Just replaced the clock spring (about £10 on ebay), reset the fault code, et voila! No more annoying light!

Now I just have to fix the leak over the passenger foot-well, and I'll have a half-decent car.

The leak in the footwell is probably the windscreen seal.

i have had mine sealed in and still have a leak even taken the dash out need to take dash out again and die the water this time
