under Cowl cleaning and Headlight wiring

Featured Replies

The other day I was cleaning my car underneath the bonnet, while cleaning/ replacing cabin air filter i found too much deposit dry leaves and mud/ dust. I tried to clean as much my hand and wet cloth could go but was not much satisfied. Can we use jet water stream ?? as there is air duct and wiring...

The car is a second hand purchase, and there has been some some modifications carried out on light system.. some led lamps have been fitted and for that head lamp wiring has been cut, because of that, aging or something else i found that insulation of parking lamp wiring is giving away,

Can we cut and replace the complete head light wiring from near the connection, i.e main lamp, parking lamp, and the fog lamps connection??

Can there be a picture of the original system or diagram to compare with what I have now in there.

If your car's like the European specification ones, if you pull the relevant plastic underwing shield forwards, you should be able to extract some of the leaf mulch, and then wash out the rest wit jugs of water.

will there be a problem of water ingress in cabin....the vehicle is of exact european specification but right hand drive..mostly all parts have vw stamping or skoda made in czech

I wasn't sure if it was RHD or LHD, and I've never worked on an LHD car.

With RHD, you just have to keep the water level below the joint in the pollen filter case.
