Big Breakfast Meet, Malton 14th Oct 2012

Maybe go to this, went last time and was a good day

Went for the first time at Easter - really good day out. The calendar is free that day, so should be able to do this.

I enjoyed the meet last year, (missed the Easter one). I think I'm free that day so I'll go again.

Planning on going this ed. :-)

I was planning on taking the Rallye if time/family allow. Fingers crossed that things are free as it's always a good turnout and the chance to see all those cars in one place is a real treat.

Whereabouts in Malton is this event - I am just being too lazy to look through the threads!!

Specialist Cars of Malton host the event and they are here - http://goo.gl/maps/hJH05 - but the whole estate is one giant car park for the duration. Get there early as the roads fill up quickly.

Well spotted Jim - they hadn't updated their page when I last checked a week ago, and the only details I could find were on the Pistonheads link.

Cheers for the links - I certainly try to be there

Buggar. Got something planned.

Been twice now and always a very good turn out with loads of different cars. Some real rare and unusual stuff too.

Just watch your speed round there and don't do anything silly as there is always a police presence in the area and a few people got pulled over and also a biker got carried away and came off his bike when pulling out of the junction a little too enthusiastically.

Phil

I'll be off, if your into your motors, then this is the place to be, good cars and some serious money

The weather is set to be okay too by the looks of it. This means there'll be an even better turnout!

Forecast for tomorrow is fine but cool, should be a good do.

I've fitted my new wheels to the Rallye today, so will be parking about 3ft from the kerb to avoid scratches.

Going to this went earlier in the year and was worth the ride out. I won't be in the skoda this time though. My dads just bought mk1 focus RS so ill be passenger in that.

Ive just arrived at malton im in a silver mk1 fabia vrs with black octy spiders on

It was a good turnout again, although a tad cold at 8:30! By the time I left at 10:30 it was pretty full with people still arriving. The one way system was a vast improvement this year as was the behaviour of the drivers - that I saw anyway. I only took one photo which is a purely selfish one.

Like last year there was a good turn out of nice cars. I'm glad I'd put a new memory card into my camera.

I also saw quite a few Skodas there too. I briefly met you Yorkshire Pud, met Dbg, vrsadz and nice to see Phill. I saw your 106 Skinnyman, it looked very nice.

:hi: A nice way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday morning.

Maybe for the next one we could organise a time and a place to meet up before heading into Malton?

Skinnyman, nice 106 btw, noticed you leaving.

Thanks for the positive comments.

I was on my lonesome today and noticed a few Skodas dotted about - couldn't see the owners though. I think my favourites today were the Challenger and the Ford GT. In a previous life I must have been a redneck hilbilly as I'm always drawn to the unsophisticated Yank Tanks for some reason.

I nicked this from the internet today as it's better than I would have taken. I'd like to say my car is on his web page, but the little Pug didn't make the grade....

Was a good turnout today good weather aswell. Lots of nice motors there.

So does anyone here own a Green Mk2 Fabia, Red & Black Fabia vrs, or a Silver Mk1 Fabia (with standard wheels)? I think I saw a Silver Octavia too.

No, but I was there in my Leon cupra, yellow and black with 350 bhp....... Naughty naughty
