I have Philips Xtreme Vision bulbs in mine which are very good you can pick them up on ebay for between £20 and £25

Have you replaced the high beam bulb with them, or Just the dipped beam?

I'm guessing I need two sets...??

On a side issue, how do you find the whiteline RARB?? Thinking of getting one.

Cheers,

Steve

I've Philips Xtreme Vision for dipped beam and Bosch Plus90 for high beam, both are very good ;)

Thanks guys for your input on this.

Regarding the rear anti roll bar, how do you rate it for effectiveness?

Steve

Not personaly got one but apprently they make a massive diffrence to the handling, probably the best handling mod along with lowering

I just have a set for dipped as i thought the fullbeams are fine and the dipped is what you use most. The ARB makes a big difference noticeable less body roll when cornering at speeds would definitely recommend it

I've also had a pair of Philips Xtremes for over 5 years now (same pair used on my current Fabia and another car I had before it). They are simply brilliant! Worth every penny.

I don't have a RARB, but I know it definitely makes the car more tail-happy and therefore more fun through the twisties.

The Monte Carlo (and the black pack VRS) only uses a single pair of bulbs for high/dip beam; so you'll only need to order one pair of H7's.

I wasn't aware of this! I thought in principal they were all the same, other than the black lenses!

I live out in the country and will be requiring very good lights..... I can see I will be fitting the 'normal' twin H7 headlight units at some point in that case! :(

Think I will start a thread asking specifically for Monte owners to comment on I think....

Thanks,

Steve :)

I tried some of the Ring + 120's in the MkII Superb, they where great for a couple of weeks then the output noticeably tailed off, I then switched to Philips Xtreme's and no such problems at all, even when you unpack them the philips look really well engineered. I was going to go the HID route, but in the end on my Scout I have fitted 2 x sets of Philips Xtremes, 1 for main, 1 for dip and they are a good improvement over stock and don't suffer like the Ring's did.
