Who has the highest mileage VRS Petrol?

I really want to buy one of these cars but was wondering who has the highest mileage VRS and what problems you have encountered so far. I suppose i want to believe that looked after properly, They will last a long time.

Tsi or tfsi?

Mine's a 2010 with 80k miles so far, details on my blog.

Sorry i meant TFSI. although open to both. That's pretty good going.

118K miles, now on a K04 turbo with zero engine problems.

thats what i like to hear. many thanks. i can't wait to get back from afghan and go buy one. i had it narrowed down to a 330ci or VRS. i know they're different but the tuning potential over the BMW is much better and i really like the under dog status of the car too.

I have a TFSI on 82K and come to think of it it's a really bad car! They have too many 'common faults' relating to engine management leading to losses in power, ive fitted far too many revised parts. The doors and rear wheels have issues with alignment, the dash has squeaks and faults with buttons, door cards bubble if you use them as an armrest whilst driving, door seals leak requiring replacement, bonnet handles come off in your hand and so on...but if you can look past that and dont mind putting a litre off oil in every 600 miles then go for it! As they do look nice and handle well.

Thanks for the input. always good (in a weird way) to hear some of the negatives. oil wise, i'm not too bothered, my RX8 (which i barely use anymore) used to drink it. so heavy oil consumption is a home from home for me lol.

154k!! i have owned it since 144k,it has had a full specialist service history.

since ive owned it i have replaced the cam follower,service and diverter valve.

it really is a good engine when looked after properly,i have had no issues at all,my friend with a 1.8t golf is a bit envious

Funny you mention dorrs not aligned right, i've noticed the rubber seals on the doors are rubbing the paint off on the car!!!!

WTF!, i have never had that EVER in a car!

07 on 63k for me (not really high). Touch wood, zero problems from new; still on all the same bulbs.

Haha I havnt come across that...yet! People keep asking me if the door is open because of the wind noise though Lol but that reminds me the laquer is peeling off my spoiler! And I forgot to mention ABS and aircon failure...now we're driving proper Skodas lol

133k now and will be keeping it until approx 200k.

'06 plate TFSI with 78k and remapped. Apart from the obvious DV splitting, and excessive but manageable oil consumption its fine, though the turbo sometimes dosnt quite achieve full boost, not that you'd really notice.

2008 and 127k, KO4 since 50k and no problems at all. On saturday it loss power for about 10 miles or so but came back and ok since lol
