Furby vrs 4 days and 2 new tyres!!

Featured Replies

:( :( I'd only had my Furby vrs for 4 days, when last night I destroyed 2 drivers side tyres!!! Aghhh ..these low profiles are very prone to 'snake bites' (nipping the tyre between an object on the road and the rim). Happened at night in heavy rain - I caught the edge of an Island between two lanes when pulling away from a junction. The warning bollard was missing!! (previously destroyed) which did not help!! Anyway ..BANG, BAND ..hisssssss - **** B***ks!!!!!!!! ..wanted to cry (which I did not obviously  ) Was not as bad on inspection as it sounded - 2x destroyed Continental Sport Contact 2s and scuff/chipped rim (not too noticeable). Feeling a bit stupid  / deflated re (ha!).

The Cont. Contact 2s seem quite responsive and grippy and quite quiet! But decided on reading reviews to go for 2 x Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's (both on to the front) Cost me

Rambling over - I really like this car!! fantastic fun. Everyone asks about it and wants a go. They are always impressed by the torque. Loving driving at the 30/40 limits then unleashing the beast on reaching a de-restriction to leave the irate driver behind me standing !!

lol.....only had mine one day, and I've been doing that too! such fun :)

If the warning ballad was missing and you feel it justified, then go and take a pic of the island and send it to your council along with a bill for 2 tyres and a wheel...its got to be worth a try.

Good point - Ill try that. Would be nice if your idea would help my bill disappear!! ..and you will live up to your name. Cheers

That's really expensive bad luck! I keep well away from all forms of kerb - and having varifocal glasses helps do that.

Doh!

Hard luck mate, i hit the kerb a while back when confronted with a huge digger taking up 2/3rds of the road, not a nice feeling.

I have goodyear eagles on the front and they are great...also i dont know the technical speak for it...but they protect your alloys if you rub a kerb

Driving in the wet is hardly any different to the dry

Sounds like a good idea!!! :D
