O2 phone contract good deal?

Featured Replies

Swmbo's phone contract is up for renewal, at the moment she's on 32 quid a month but quite often it goes to 36 quid plus due to going over her minutes and I know that she would also go over her 500mb of data if she gets a android phone (she does it with mine if she plays with my phone lol)

Been looking at carphone warehouse contracts and I've seen one with unlimited voice, txts and 1gb of data for 36 quid which also gives the galaxy s3 for free on a 24 month contract does that sound good? Would prefer a 18 month contract though.

Not interested in other networks due to 02 being really reliable with a good signal wherever we go, been numerous times where our phones were the only ones working while our friends had no signal due to being on other networks.

The s2 will be going to her and I'll be getting the s3 and she'll be getting my next phone in May, unless I can palm her off with the s3 lol

I know you said you're not interested in other networks, but I've just signed up for T-Mobile.

I'm on a 24 month contract and for that I get 2000 minutes to fixed landlines (0209 for London, 01273 for Brighton etc....),& this INCLUDES calls to ALL mobile networks unlimited texts, and unlimited data.

T-Mobile have joined up with Orange to provide the UKs BIGGEST 3G network, and have now launched EE (Everything Everywhere) as that have the UKs FIRST operational 4G network, and are rolling iy out accross the UK.

I was initially nervous about leaving O2, but have found the signal VERY good indeed, and have been impressed with the service so far.

I've just resigned to O2 for £26 a month, unlimited minutes, texts and 1gb of data with the iPhone. Seemed like a good deal to me! I presume they are doing it on other phones, too!

18 months seem to be on the way out!

T mobile and orange both have problems in the same village we go to a lot lol

I had a quick look and those tariffs don't actually seem available with other phones - yet! Perhaps it is something new they are bringing in?

With the I phone you have to pay £250 for the phone on a £26 a month. The £36 a month is the same as cpw except cpw will give the phone for free instead of having to pay £19.99. Might get Swmbo to call o2 retentions up and try and get them to offer her something decent. I managed to get my s2 for free on a 32 quid 18 month contract after an hour on the phone, when I did it everywhere was wanting a minimum of 50 quid for the phone and o2 wanted 120quid! So made a decent saving lol

18 month contracts are just as available now as they were before, you just end up paying slightly more for the handset up front. You can even get a 12 month contract if you ask in store, again you pay slightly more for the handset. The operators publicise the 24 month ones as they tie you in for longer, but appear to look cheaper. From what I believe the Galaxy S3 will not be compatible with the EE 4G network, currently only the iphone 5 is.

Not interested in 4g, sounds like at the moment some of the networks are gonna charge extra if you want 4g, plus it'll be a couple of years yet till the network is up and running 100%.

Oh and I want a phone that doesn't have towns missing from the maps lol
