Galaxy S3 Owners needed

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm thinking of making the change from an iPhone to a Galaxy S3, i'm having trouble with my iPhone and O2 so looking at options. The only thing really putting me off, is that I've had every iPhone since the old 3G so have loads of music on my iTunes library which i use all the time, and its saved on my laptop as Apple Lossless Quality files. Does anyone have any experience of having an S3, iTunes and Apple Lossless music?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

the S3 cannot play the apple lossless files, you'll need to convert to lossy MP3 format and store the files outside iTunes since android handsets cannot sync with it.

dont forget you'll also loose the use of any purchased apps in itunes, so something else to consider if you have a large amount of money tied up in apps / music.

thanks for that, I haven't got that many apps so thats not a prob so much, just the music is going to be a pain!

The info on format is correct but android handsets certainly can synch with itunes. They can even do it wirelessly. Use double twist

I had exactly the same issue - 90gb Apple Lossless music and Galaxy S2.

Quick and simple answer is Sony Media Manager. Will read all your music including Apple Lossless.

In device preferences for Phone/card (when connected in Media Manager) select your desired format and rate. Make a playlist (or multiple) and select your playlist(s) under the sync tab in Media Manager for your memory card or phone.

It will then sync all selected tracks in selected format to your device without messing around with multiple copied of tracks in different formats on your PC.

Will then sync as itunes did for iphone/ipod when plugged in with Media Manager open. The initial copy will take a while but future syncs will be much quicker.

Did this and haven't looked back.
