Not the most obvious choice, but having driven the Ford Galaxy, VW Sharan, VW Touran, Seat Alabama, Honda FRV, Renault Scenic, Toyota Avensis verso, Toyota Corolla verso and many others, we decided to purchase a Fiat Multipla JTD eleganza.

We have 2 children and one on the way so we wanted a car that was practical and reliable, but fairly rugged and basic to be honest, it is a means to an end for about 5 years, but you never know I might take quite a liking to it. I have already checked out chip ability - lol.

Seems a slightly odd shape to me, but I've often felt jealous that I didn't have one, since plenty of headroom for getting baby in and out

Well, many a true word spoken in jest. Mine at around 8lbs 3ozs was sympathetically regarded as "a good effort" at a time when the little ones were all arriving at around 10 lbs. Sigh, I did my best

However, it was on the radio yesterday, when a mum phoned in about a 12lb 6oz effort. :eek: On that basis, yer'd need a double decker to give enough headroom. OTOH Do you recall those mini caravans that had a cantilever / concertina type roof? Multipla take note please
