questions on temp sensor

Featured Replies

Would i be right in saying that the coolant temperature sender sends a signal to the temp gauge as well as to the ecu to control fuel?

Just trying to sort my poor mpg.

If the sensor was faulty would there be a fault with the gauge too or not necissarily?

Just wondering is it worth changing, ive no fault codes etc and my gauge sits dead centre and doesnt budge.

also anyone know how to test the MAF with a multimeter? What voltage or whatever id be looking for?

Cheers

unplug the maf and go for a drive, if the car behaves the same then your mafs ******

the car isnt playing up though, drives fine, just returning about 44mpg on a 100 mile run and average 40 all other times.

Suggest it's faulty MAF.

I know Ant-Vrs had the same issue.
