What did/would you get after the VRS?

Featured Replies

I was thinking mk1 focus RS. Just love them. Probably would regret it after a week and a few meetings with the bank manager though.

I would only be ditching my vRS for a petrol drinking monster I reckon.... Something like an S2000 with a Mugen turbo on it I reckon!!

  • I'm moving to a Mk1 vRS beater with a funny shaped van-like exterior.....

  • After the Fabia 1 vRS the only way that ticked all the boxes, for us, was the Octvia TDi vRS

not exactly a Fabia vRS I know, but I see myself keeping the Ibiza TDI at least as long as I'm doing over 100 miles a day and looking for something with a big and or FI petrol engine once my mileage drops. it serves its intended purpose perfectly well but I have next to no attachment to the Ibiza and don't really see myself missing it when it's gone

The VRS is about number 40 in our ongoing car owning quest......lol. We need 2 cars and like to swap and change.

But last 5 cars owned:

Audi A4 S-line (getting traded for the Octavia VRS this Saturday)

Blue Focus RS mk2 (my baby, running the mountune mr375 kit)

Green Focus RS mk2 (traded this in for our Blue one)

Vectra VXR

Insignia VXR

White Focus RS mk2

Am contemplating chopping the SE in against a Mazda 6 MPS, its loaded with toys, has loads of room, never go wrong (allegedly) and has shovel loads of grunt.

Pre august 06 cars are half the tax of later ones too :-)

You not like the 3 mps? I'd like one of those! But if I could have anything it would be a mk 2 focus RS love them :)

Here is my list in order ow owned:

VW Golf mk2 1.6 driver

VW Golf mk2 1.8 GTi 8v

VW Golf mk2 1.8 GTi 16v oak green

Honda Civic Coupe 1.6

Toyota Celica GT4 5th gen

Toyota Celica GT4 6th gen 270bhp! Loverly car

BMW 320i touring auto

Skoda Fabia VRS mk 1 . . . Current

Thinking that i either want an Audi A4 probably tdi or back to petrol and a VW Golf GTi Mk6

someone likes their mk2's

Wouldnt mind a 3 mps but there still the wrong side of 10k whereas a 6 mps can be picked up for 4k-5k

Now thats a whole lot of car for that money.

Agreed the Mazda 6 is a quick bit of kit, but subtle at the same time.

Neighbour I'm friendly withs brother has one in a dark grey colour, sound nice too. Isn't the road tax crippling on them though?

My next car I don't have a clue really as I intend to keep my Fabia for a long time. It's so cheap to run and a good bit of fun. Best of both worlds lol.

Think tax is the same as the RX-8 (which is a £2k car now! :o can't think of anything that fast and modern for less really ) - £260 up until 2006, then the full £460!

Ill be getting a 3rd mk3 ibiza cupra

I like the look of the Volvo C30 R Design especially in red, it's comfy and all the bells and whistles look good, my feet even fit with room to spare but, the boot is almost non existent and that puts me off a little, still, maybe when the kids are older and don't want to be seen with their parents anymore. :giggle:

There's always the Octy mk2 vRS Tdi, nice piece of kit and I can continue to indulge my Skoda fetish.

As Triggerfish says, £260 as long as car registered before August 2006, after that its £460.....madness.

Triggerfish my brother in law had a red 231 model RX8 and he struggled to sell it on, took him six months to get rid and the buyer came down from Scotland.

Get them for peanuts now, but the running costs are high.

I'm just putting my Vrs up for sale - it's being replaced with a jetta 2.0 tdi sport

Same, I had to chop mine in with one of these 'we buy any car' type people as no small dealers would take it as a PX, and I couldn't sell it privately. Didn't wait as long as your brother-in-law, but needed something cheaper to run so it was better for me to take the loss on the value (or so I thought, the Golf I bought was a heap!). Mine was a red 231 as well, epically good cars though and an amazing engine, just not that exciting for day-to-day driving and a pig to drive at times without changing gear. The noise made it worth it though!

Mine's about to go up for sale; being replaced by a 120d.

I'm too tempted by a Corsa VXR!

Seing alot of posts and other treads saying "mines up for sale now or sold"

Noone wanting vrs's anymore?!

Na! I love my Fabia still - taking it to the MOT & back was a hoot. But it isn't quite big enough as we are thinking about expanding our family by 1 more. Meaning 5 up, 3 still in car seats or boosters, the car just isn't big enough. But our Touran is too big, plus it never really suited me!

That's why we went for the jetta - it's the bkd engine code so 300bhp is easily do-able in the future as an when £££ allows

Civic 2.2D Type S almost made my look at short list last month as did the C30. Funny I also considered the RX8 for a while.

I had the type s, then got an fn2 R. I loved my R as it was what it was, but i did regret not keeping the Type s! It was a lovely car, strange though, Honda in their infinite wisdom, used half Alcantara seats in the 3 door and cloth in the 4?

I think I'd get an Octy Mk2 Vrs if I could, probably the estate, as we have a dog!

Another Fabia vRS probably, something like this :D
