Featured Replies

Just some minor changes announced at the Paris Motorshow:

- New style Skoda badges

- New steering wheels and gear sticks

Here's the sports wheel which will now be on the Monte Carlo:

I want that steering wheel because it's the new one but I still really like the original one same with badges

  • Think we won't see the Fabia3 until around March 2014. The Yeti and Superb will get the new badges when facelifted next year and the Roomster will get them at the same time as the Fabia.

Just placed a factory order for a Monte, if it's gets a steering wheel as above I will be well pleased; looks much better than the current three spoke arrangement. Fingers crossed they don't find a quick build slot before wk45 :giggle:

that enough makes the pain of waiting not so bad. Love the steering wheel, I would assume though there would be an extra skoda emblem on the back, similar to the new rapid that's been announced?

Just spoke with my dealer and apparently there are no plans on introducing this wheel in either Sweden or the UK..

Where did you get the information that they would introduce it in w.45?

Indeed a much nicer wheel.

The Skoda media pack from the Paris Motorshow confirmed the changes, and I read on a reliable Czech forum it would take effect from week 45.

Which means for the badge at the boot they will make a smaller size badge than the one found on the citigo? or a new boot with a larger recess? hmmmmmmmm.............

WK45 is the mid point through the build year and often used to introduce more major updates from observation.

Anyway I hope T81's info is correct as it's a nice improvement.

I really hope you are correct because then the car i orderd will have the changes.

But according to the seller he contacted Skoda Sweden and they told him that they had no plans of introducing that wheel in either Sweden or the UK. He claimed that the things that were on display in the Paris Motorshow were more like things that could happend or be released to the markets in the future. But it might not hit all markets..

I wouldn't trust a dealer to be honest (no offence!)

If it's built week 45 or after I would expect it to have the changes.

I wouldn't of thought it would make sense changing it, and then not implimenting it across all markets, after all it's not a major revision - the changes are fairly trivial - and seeing as they are all built in the same factory it would make sense, just saying...... :)

You both are totally right and i really hope that is whats going to happend, even though the dealer told me otherwise.

My car is supposed to start building around w 43-44 so if im lucky and the choose to add theese things my car will have them :)

Im keeping my fingers crossed :D

Looks like the golf steering wheel

I'm not sure if I like the all red seats though, unless they are special seat covers.

Steering wheel looks good though.

The red seats are an option on the Monte Carlo, I didn't like them either as I thought they would look odd with yellow and black, so I went for the normal black sports seats :)

A Monte with the new badges, not great photos but looks nice from what I can see:

Many thanks again T81

Even more hoping your info runs true and that Skoda Auto give us a post WK45 build; she looks very smart and just as we have ordered, white with the red interior B)

Are you sure this is for the UK Spec as we are unawear of this change yet? (SUK)

What is "SUK"? and who whould "we" be?

The Swedish Skoda headquarter havent heard anything about this change either.

I'd imagine, if you hadn't worked it out, SUK is Škoda for the United Kingdom, or Škoda UK. Sorry If I'm stating the obvious.

No surprise there then :giggle:

If T81 is correct I cannot see Skoda Auto, continuing to make an obsolete steering wheel design just for two countries and giving the rest a new pattern :wonder:

Oh my lads pre facelift Fabia II had the facelift steeing wheel and that was built beginning of November 2009

Mind if these updates are correct makes me wonder how long the old Fabia is going to soldier on into the future before a new Fabia III arrives, is she destined to be the last current model left standing but with updated logo's :wonder: :wonder:

so looking at that. It looks like you will be able to get the new badges to fit the present fabia like you can with the wheel caps. Just a thought
