The rims are most likely rs4 reps. 18x8 et 35. If they are that fitment then thwy are reps. Will say inside the spokes.

The limited edtn vrs was the wrc white one. Or the vrx which was a 1.9 tdi iirc that came out in08 09 iirc that might of had 18 rims

Lol I'm going on a diet to shrink my beer belly and fat head !

Last question guys I promise!

The rear tweeter has blown, and I dont like the sound of a froggy bee in my ear.

I was thinking of getting a new mechless headunit (usually keep my music on USB stick) and speakers for the front and rear as I wouldn't mind having a decent set of speakers with decent bass (don't really want to spend on a sub or amp).

Now I am willing to have a go at most things, I've changed head units on all my previous cars and I've put some coaxial speakers in a previous car, but I have never dealt with components before. Is it something I should just go to halfords and get them to do?

What components are recommended that would be a direct fit for both fronts and rears.

Halfords is a definite no go area imo ... it all depends on how you want your system to sound personally i would have the headunit as my pre amp and an amp in the boot to run the front components.... try http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ for your car audio theyre a good price and a better quality of ice as compared to halfords .. i recommend spl dynamics or groundzero for components as they sound awesome as a mid budget speaker setup hope this helps

If you've never done it before, please, please, please get some help, or have it done professionally.

Just throwing components into the Octy is a waste. Sound deadening and proper installation will reap HUGE rewards and make even Halfords cheapy components sound 50x better. Shame you so far up North, I'd gladly let you listen to my setup.

Oh and Pete, your head probably looks less fat in proportion when we can see the rest of you :whew::rofl:

The wind deflectors allow you to have the window open a bit without so much wind noise, yeah? Or are they just there to look cool? How much, and where from please?

Yup can have the window open with less wind, can leave the windows open abit it summer without coming back to a wet car lol. Think you can get them on ebay

The car is drives ok, a touch of a hesitation when accelerating slowly in 1st and 2nd, then when left to idle, the cars revs drop then shoot up (antistall?) then drop again, I didn't let it go all the way, but I feel it would probably stall. I will be taking it to my local independants sometime next week, just wondered what I will be looking at (had a similar issue on my old 330ci which was vanos and a 3k bill)

Found the problem that was causing the poor idle and hesistation. One of the pipes on the turbo side was completely severed...like it was cut. I've never seen anything like that before!

Further to my cut pipe dilemma, the guy who I use to sort my car is having an issue sourcing the pipe (doesn't know which pipe it is that needs replacing. It has currently been bodged by putting another pipe over the top of it, but the car still idles badly so obviously it isnt a permanent fix.

Can anyone tell me what the highlighted pipe is?

Thanks

Lower breather hose I think, contact gee@w8performance he'll sort you out with a silicon replacement one. They are a site sponsor

Hi I tried sending him an email but it wouldnt send. I have been looking at the breather hoses diagram, and they all seem to connect up differently to the ones in my car. I have attached a pipe overview picture which might help explain what i mean, the pipes are the ones circled in red that connect to the split pipe. All the ebay pipes dont look the same as the ones below.

Anyone able to shed any light?
