32GB card user here, full of songs at high bit rate, works fine, quick and sounds good.no need for MDI for me,

When playing music from SD, are you able to control it from maxi-dot? I don't seem to be able to. I can see what I'm playing but it won't let me browse tracks. Of course, I know I could always just reach out my left hand and control it on the amundsen....

Just got mine to skip tracks, I have it on random for the whole SD card.

Press and hold the up switch on the right hand rocker for a few seconds to enter the main menu.

Select audio.

It then shows the track playing on the Maxidot, up and down on the rocker let you skip tracks.

Glad you asked i didn't know that, only just found the 'main menu' in the last 5 minutes!

Browsing tracks may be another thing entirely.
