Rich, as you've been away you probably missed that it's been all over the news. However they look like photo's of the car in storage rather than on the road.

He was an awesome boxer. He didnt like being hit - quite natural really - so he dodged them with super-human reflexes. However i must agree the ego was his downfall, but then again anyone who can afford to buy and total a Merc SLR by the time they are 30 has had a relatively successful career...

The pictures I posted were from someone who works at the compound where the car is now. Apparently certain gentlemen from Stuttgart are coming over to examine the ECU. Hope it's not Revo'd :eek:

Like Skomaz, I know the road well and it can be used as a bit of a test track as it's so straight. With the dips it's also quite lethal. What the pictures don't show is that the accident is only about 500 yards out of a built up suburban area and rather handily about 200 yards from a fire station.

This should serve as a nice example for all the people who think it's great to remap cars and not tell their insurance company.

If you are in a big enough crash that they get interested in how standard the car is you may not have an opportunity to hide the evidence.

More likely they are examining the airbag ECU. It will have recorded the speed of the car for the period prior to the airbags being deployed. I've heard of cases where this has been used as evidence for a prosecution.
