Realistic 300bhp check list make that 280bhp

For a REAL 300bhp what would be needed ?

A hybrid of sorts ?

Injectors ?

Clutch ?

Diff i supose ideally :D

A map

And a set of cupra or there go set of brakes ?

And obviously cash :D

Youll hurt the poor girl, short wee journeys + too much power aint an easy life. Keep going cosmetically, and get the camber shims sorted etc, 19 inch rims maybe

2 ways to look at this

1 a real 300 bhp that's useable or

2 a real 300 bhp unusable

1= hybrid , fueling , brakes , diff , suspension , larger intake , remap, rods etc etc

2 = hybrid, 3 inch maf , injectors , map,

When it gets out i wouldnt describe it as wee journeys :blush: more like short qualifying sessions :rofl:

I do feel i try to maintain him too, as he doesnt go without..... bloody cambelt again next year :swear:

I was going to go down that way, Hybrid K04-023 etc. but up until now I have never met anyone that does not have a problem with their setup as far as the manifold is concerned, the turbo it self, the temperatures and cant remember what else.

I would suggest GT28RS, working effortlessly at 1.0bar, internals (rods, pistons, seals, rings etc), upgraded intercooler (ibiza sport, EVO8), at least 4 pot brembos on the 312 disc (cupra, Peugeot 306 coupe), injectors 550cc(bosch, precission), 040 Bosch intank fuel pump, induction, manifold, downpipe... pretty much cntuning's no1 but for GT28RS. No matter how good the testing facilities are in firms around UK that produce the hybrid 023, I dont think they will ever beat Garrett's testing facilities and R&D.

Why 300?

Why not a tad less and leave the engine alone?

Personally cant afford the rods yet as it would be a total rebuild so go for a tad less 280 max and around 300lbft of smooth torque should be fine.

Handling and brakes are a must first.

Diff n clutch

Then turbo injectors uprated fuel system and map

I think ill have a pritty good setup and maybe one day get the engine done and map it again to over 300. Turbo ahould be good for that bepending if i can get it sorted. If not 280 would be perfectly high enough and should stay pritty reliable for a day to day car too. End of the day thats about a good level for fwd ne way imo.

Plus i want a 3 door so really id like both the girls to be using the ferofix iso seats and they can both get in ( ish ) themselves :D
