Featured Replies

Not really a good time mate :(

Plus i want a 3 door so really id like both the girls to be using the ferofix iso seats and they can both get in ( ish ) themselves :D

So save ya money towards one then instead of wasting ££££'s on yours unless of course your deffo gonna keep it ;)

But my spiders are cool :D

And will mean i can pinch the bbs's when he goes ;)

Ready for said R32 lol

Its the one bit of planning ahead i think ive done

Now if i had a bundle of cash somehow .... I could have 2 brake set ups lol

plus one, mk4 r32 or mk5 gti...mk5 r32 = fail imo

Eventually Luca, we're bound to actually DISagree on something or other. I'm sure it'll come to blows... :giggle:

It'll be EPIC, I tell ya...

TT maf

Hybrid stage 2 with 22/24 psi

Large bore exhaust

225 injectors or bigger

Decent map

TT to hybrid tip

4 bar fuel pressure reg

TT fuel rail

Thats what mine has and you can run 300 with non forged internals and what not but big risk of something going boom!

It's the torque that kills rods:-)

not tonight my friend!

we can't help it if we prefer bmws :bandit:

A 300bhp + vrs will make you grin from ear to ear but in the real world is alot laggyer than a ko3s vrs.

My old car was running a IHI VF34 with 440cc injectors pushing 1.6 bar and pulling 325bhp @ 315torques on a standard engine.

Needs a expensive clutch to hold the power tho, its the reason i broke mine for parts, needed another £600 clutch!

yes have seen a couple of vf34 charger setups run on stock internals at around 320 without them blowing up (shame the same can't be ssaid for the turbo!), though i think a lot is down to owner care and how you drive, and importantly not thrashing the hell out of it all the time.

Shame the vf34 can't be rebuilt, i have a nice looking paperweight sat in my garage that could have been great!

Surely a hybrid wont be laggy?

I am hiping my setup will be bang on and just same as std just more poke but no real difference in the drive?

Needs to be smooth on all types of driving. Not one that needs to be driven with the accel pedal as an on off switch lol.

If it's a hybrid with ko4 internals I would think it would behave like a ko4 which take a little longer to come on boost

If you want to minimise lag whilst getting big power mostly from the turbo, twin turbo is the way forward. Piddly small engine boosted to heck by a single flipping great turbo is always going to be lacking somewhere.

Why dont they leave the hot side as std and just put a bigger cold side on?

The ko4 is still not really that laggy tho. Not compared to the bt that need revving high to get somewhere.

To stop turbo lag completely just run anti lag system via an ecu, granted you might munch through a few turbos but it will be a hell of a lot of fun doing it!

You will have minimal lag like a few hundred rpm hybrids spool so much better than ihi

It's all about supporting mods and use the right combo and you will be onto a winner

Whats a k04-001 ?

If that was bolted on and just mapped would i do anything ?

APR did a kit , as does backdraft and theres no mention of injectors and such ????

Is thay just a 240/250 bhp jimmy ?

Put Cupra r injectors with k04-001 with map is good for 250 to 260 and is a factory unit

Would those injectors still throw out the mpg and tange readings ???

No offense, but no matter what you do, if varying from standard you can forget about any sort of accuracy from those readings anyway.

Yeah don't believe the mpg screen even on a standard car lol

Especially since it can't even log miles accurately. :giggle:

Ridiculous putting any faith in figures that are based on RPM, Speed, Vacuum, and assuming a brand new, perfect order standard car.

Some people talk about their MPG figures on the screen as if the fuel is actually metered. :wonder:
