RWYB @ Santa Pod 21/10/12?

Featured Replies

Got a bit of a taste for it now, and still have more nitrous to use up. ;)

Proposing, subject to weather forecast, going on this date.

It is a general RWYB day so should be an eclectic range of vehicles running up the strip.

It's also the last chance this year as it's the last RWYB day.

If the weather is looking good I'll probably come up to see you run and maybe have a go myself.

Well, it looks like the weather is shocking now for Sunday :( Why does it always do this!?!

Lots of time yet for the weather to change, I only look the day before as that's the only real accurate way of knowing. The Met Office can't even get it right on the day sometimes, so nearly a week in advance is asking a lot!!

We'll see. I am now going anyway, as have family in the area. Whether or not I go to the Pod is something I can decide at the time. :)

I think ive only been to one day at Santa Pod, and it not rain!

I took my Type R up there to rip up the strip, and it was sunny, a little over cast, but sunny. Went to sign on..... It hammered down!

I hate the Pod! It has its own Climate!

Weather is now looking less dodgy - Met office still doesn't know how far west the rain up in the north sea is coming across.

Fingers crossed!

Yep - fingers crossed!

Seeing as I have never actually been up the strip before, what do you do with all your luggage, tools etc whilst you are doing your runs?

Can't make the ammeded date of the 21st.

Just too much on this weekend that I can't move.

Have fun guys.

Just leave them lying by where you are parked/based.

Obviously anything really valuable is best not left out in the open, but last time I left two wheels/tools,etc out whilst I was running.

In theory you want a spare car to lock stuff in. :D

How's the weather looking for this?

Cloudy, but best of all, no south westerlies which means headwind won't be an issue.

No rain on the forecast at the moment.

Looks like a bit of early morning fog is about the worst I can expect. 10mph easterly breeze is nice, That's downwind :D

No one else coming apart from myself and Simon? :D Looks like we'll be representing the diesel massive then....

Hoping to this time, man flu has gone just the sniffles left. Aslong as it's not due to rain.

I'd love to, but the haven't see. My little un all week.
