Why is it, that quite a few UK sellers don´t wan´t to send it outside the UK?

In this case it's because it'll be slipping through the company postal system. Don't think they'll spring for international postage.

It also stops the constant stream of emails of "how much to send this part of the world?"

In other cases there's been a lot of fraud and "things going missing" or "damaged in transit" once it's beyond the UK. Invariably the buyer then lodges a complaint with ebay/paypal, gets their money back (as they always side with the buyer not the seller) and never sends the goods back. A win for the buyer and a massive lose for the seller.
