If you put it on the wheel arch side so it sucked air through rather than pushing it, you would'nt impede the air flow from the front of the car.

Let us know how you get on.

Will do - note I will be on holiday soon so may not be able to get this done before that time (so you don't get your hopes up too much ;))

I've got the strutbrace & PD160 intake to pick up & fit sometime this week (I hope) :D

bump this back up if i may,

was thinking, how do you take the water from the screen wash bottle? i take it you have to punch a hole in the bottle and fit a pump??

Would windscreen washer fluid effect the IC in anyway?

and would windscreen washer nozzles do a good spray job??

well you either re-route the window washer so it does your IC instead or install another bottle. i think

I think some people have fitted an additional pump to their main washer bottle (which does involve drilling a hole in it for the extra feed) so that they don't have to install a second bottle for the intercooler feed. I don't think anybody would want to disable their windscreen washers to do this - on the front screen at least, it'd be dangerous and illegal to do so, you have to have working windscreen wipers and washers (where originally installed) to pass an MOT...

also, the thing of adding a seconds water bottle means added weight, not alot i know but its all adds up :P :D

I punched a hole in the top of the filler neck and fead a rubber hose down to the bottom of the tank.

My car is not (yet) remapped, and I only got really desperate heatsoak twice this summer; once coming back from Bruntingthorpe when the car had been stood in the sun for hours, and again after I had polished it and left it in the sun to cure the polish. So it seems, for me, that if I can contrive to park the car in the shade, I can avoid the worst heatsoak most of the time. A space blanket draped over the OSF wing whilst parked might help, too.

From my quasi-controlled experiments thrashing my pikey-modded car up a local hill and using Vag-Com Engine group 7 to monitor intake air temperature, we get:

I made a 'Pikey' style IC waterspray by disconnecting my Rear washer and re-routing it to the IC using 2 Octy washer jets, takes 5 seconds to reconnect { for M.O.T etc} .

Do a search for IC waterspray for
