Red Seat Icon

Featured Replies

Had the back seats down and a red seat icon comes up upon starting the car, oddly the boot light is on constantly now too.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Means the ejector seat is active and ready to fire.

Just got to pull the secret ON switch to fire ;)

Try folding the seats back down and give them a good shove back into place.

Can't help on boot light, but check to make sure rear seats are locked .( The RED icon is shown in the user manual, with this info).

The reason for the warning light is because the middle seat belt is in the seat - hence the seat back has to be latched to make it function properly.

Strangely though not all of them have it. My mates SE doesn't.

That suggests a faulty actuator switch rather than an omission. As I understand it, it's an essential safety item.

The actual switch isn't even fitted, we checked another 07 plate and that was the same. The only car iv seen with it is my mates old 54 plate. I put a thread up a while back, very few had it.

I've just checked my SE - and it's not there! Well I never. My 2004vRS had it!
