Hi Everyone.

Just (next week) about to collect a brand, spanking new Octavia Hatch Greenline II in Platin Silver with rear parking sensors. This will replace my Audi A3 Sportback 1.9 TDIe Sport which I have had for the past 3½ years and never really liked - don't know why, just don't!

This will be the first Skoda I've had since a powder blue Estelle 120L (with a black vinyl roof) bought one-year old in 1987! My family and I did over 60,000 miles in that and we loved it, apart from it over-heating when thrashed too much. I'm hoping the new Octavia will be as successful (without the over-heating).

Had a really poor buying experience with the local dealership in Inverness (will update on the Dealer forum sometime) so resorted to buying via an on-line broker, which has been a great pleasure so far and saved me a fortune in the process! I will post an update when I have collected the car.

Delmore when it was owned by the original bloke who started it wasn't too bad....now it's part of the Arnold Clark lot :( .....I just know the parts bloke who is now based in their big KIA?? showroom opposite the Jag place...

Hello , my brother has biught kodiak with matrix led lights. One of the problem is that high beam don't light up automatically and there is option to enable it on the menu. I have read somewere that someone had the same problem , but in tme meatime recieved an ota update and the function appeard . I have an obd11 but can't connect the car because of rhe newer protection so I was wondering how I could enable it. Another thing is if it would be possible to enable the inner rear stop lights. First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. Local dealership said it would cost £300 to upgrade my maps and suggested that there are better options them then for this! After lots of online research I decided to update the firmware from H4120 to 5274. I have the zipped file RNS_510_FW_5274_update.iso and have burned this to a DVD at lowest speed. When I put the DVD in the unit (no keys in iginition) it whirs around and then after 20-30 seconds comes back with a CD/DVD error. The unit will play a normal music

For the past few weeks my Skoda Scala Infotainment unit has been prompting me to do updates. Almost everyday I get the prompt to do an update. I only get the one prompt in a day. I believe the procedure is to park, accept the update, turn off the ignition, exit the car and lock it. I think some updates only apply when you next start the car.
