Anti roll bar

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I know this is a bit of a necro-post but I have exactly the same problem; MOT fail due to anti roll bar lug failure. Buying a pair of the whiteline lateral lugs seems a easy and cheap solution, Demon tweeks will do them for £18.33 + PP/VAT but I don't know the bar diameter could anyone advise please.

model is Fabia I 1.9 TDi

Thanks

Tim

If you don't get an answer, buy a calipers or micrometer capable of 15-25mm range or similar if you can get at it to measure it for yourself.

One thing to remember, replace the bushes with the bushes for the newer version of the ARB that is fitted to your car - also cut off the split sliding plastic endstops - both of them and the old bushes, as said before, clean up the rusty area - maybe even put some Hammerite paint on - typically smooth or satin black and let dry before fitting the bushes, centering the ARB (same gap both sides) then fit the slit locking collars.

Also, the ARB will be the same diameter along almost its entire length.

To let you see "what is there" - if original ARB was 21mm - original bushes needed were maybe 23mm, with newer 21mm ARB bushes are 21mm - same thing for 19mm and smaller (17mm?) ARBs - in essence, in the parts bin, biggest bushes get deleted for use with new ARBs and a new smallest bushes are made available.
