Engine Management Light

Featured Replies

Hi, had my light diagnosed and have got the following faults. Anybody have any experience with these and how difficult/expensive to solve?

1) Camshaft Position Sensor (g40) p3007 - 35 - 10 No Signal - Intermittent

2) Cylinder 3 Glow Plug Circuit (q12) P0673 - 35 - 00 - Electrical Fault

Just a quick note, Thanks to Shark Performance for fitting me in a 5pm on a very busy Monday night.

Glow plug circuit is just a new glow plug I think. Was the message that came up on mine when it needed replacing. Got one from GSF near me, i dont think it was particular expensive. Only problem i had was needing a new "special" socket to get the damn thing out. The socket cost more tham the glow plug i think! The cylinders are labeled from left to right as you look into the engine bay. So 1,2,3,4 as you look into the bay.

As for your other problem I have no idea.

Hope this helps a little bit :)

Thanks for that.

You dont need a special socket just a deep on so it fits over the glow plug

I've got the camshaft sensor fault on my car at the minute. Its gotten worse over about two weeks, now at the point where the car doesnt want to start and keeps cutting out once its started!

I know its not that special, i just hadnt got one and its the only time i have ever needed it. Special because im never gonna use it again i doubt (unless i have to change another glow plug). :)
