Skoda octavia mk2 1.9 tdi clutch noise

Featured Replies

I am having a nightmare with main dealer and skoda, my 59 plate octy is making a scraping grinding noise when I depress the clutch halfway down, I have taken the car 5 times to the dealer, who at first said it was the release bearing but noise was still there after being replaced then the gear box, they replaced nearly all of the bearings on gearbox, noise still there, now technical at skoda have said this is a production noise and is normal for this car. Anybody else having or had problems with this?

Hello there and welcome along

Shame it's not under better circumstances :( you may be better posting your question in the respective Octavia forum

Funny how only now SUK have said the noise is normal when they've obviously sanctioned all the work which has already taken place. Good luck getting it sorted.

Thanks for the reply, I have now moved this to mk2 octavia forum, my thoughts exactly why they sanctioned nearly 16 hours of investigative work on it?

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hope you get this sorted.
