Jase's Leon! Project OEM +

Featured Replies

What discs did you use I need some new ones I think :)

I think the 312s are brilliant compared to standards, would love to experience Brembos or something like that though!

  • I like the mark 2, but my only problem is they are far too common and driven by a lot of chavs! Why don't you send your ECU off to shark for a remap, saves on the STS costs. When I spoke to Ben abou

  • I've never seen the Leon splitter in a Leon before, looks good that lol

  • I was joking, hence the lol

Ebays very own drilled and grooved numbers

So a patent disc with some back street machining! Pads are brembo's though which shouldnt be too bad!

I think my issue is im in need of new brake fluid, i want sharp brakes but they feel more progressive, guess i just expect everything to be like brembo's, i like the harsh snap your neck in two around town stops

I'd look at a brake fluid change certainly, if you're feeling 288>312 hasn't improved things much for you.

I'd recommend Tarox RoadRace fluid, that's what I use. Identical spec to Motul's RBF600 (aside from two degrees at max wet boiling IIRC) but much cheaper:

I think Jase has done a fluid change now and is a bit happier with them.

Good stuff. I've felt mine being a little less effective of late, which tells me new fluid is required. But it's been in two years, so that's fair enough.

I used ATE super racing Blue dot 4 fluid

Also bought myself a gunson eezibleed! :)

Today was MOT day!

Passed but with 5 complete waste of my time advisories

1. Front offside tyre worn close to legal limit (2.2mm) so what? Its legal ain't it and i have a good .6mm of tread to go? Stupid

2. Same again but nearside

3. Rear offside anti roll bar link has slight play (hmmm its a metal to metal rose joint and i had a look at it last week when i did my brakes - no play)

This is on an aftermarket neuspeed rarb, so take the thing off and no advisory :/

4. Same as no.3 but nearside

5. Nail in front nearside tyre. Another wow! That'll get sorted when i burn off my remaining .6mm of tread

Know what you mean fella

Mine passed on Saturday and 2 advisories were slight bead on near side front wheel or something, and same on off side.

Have to look at exact wording but basically he said "when i spin the wheels they are ever so slightly not running perfectly true!!?!"

I said "you mean they have a very slight buckle?"

"Ermmmm...yes....but hardly worth mentioning to be honest"

So why feckin mention it then ffs!

Im sure they just put anything so it looks like they've done a thorough job.

Still mate, at least it passed

Cheers

Damo

It is annoying to say the least

On mine unbolt arb throw in garden and get 2 tyres when it actually needs tyres...

Oh and i used ate blue for my brakes as its easy to see when its bled through :)

Thanks for that!

Just bugs me when trying to sell a car and people think it has lots of issues!

The car has zero issues and for its age / mileage it is clean as anything and well looked after

Looks very nice pal very good paintwork too considering its black! Lovely

Not bad for 110k!

Im going to try get it to 200k and dispell the pd150 chocolate camshaft myth!

Had full seat history before i got it so i know its had the right oil

Goodbye leon!

Bought a bmw 3 series! Fast lane bullying time

330D Jase?

No put my sensible head on (i actually think its the most sensible car i've bought)

Its a 320d 163bhp i think

07 plate 73k

I wanted something a bit more grown up

Its a colour i havent really seen before, is like an off silver with a hint of green

C3449D61-EDA5-4D70-A214-16F0B70D585F-135

B60C91F2-B9E6-495E-A245-098BDE04CE18-135

I'll put the msport bits on it overtime

My old boy has a 335d so i'll just have to keep drooling over that for the time being

Nice!

Some bigger alloys would be first on my list

Like it though fella

Good choice

Yes i like the 17" msport ones and they are quite reasonable too

Picked it up today and i love it already, feels way superior to my rattly old leon, just feels solid to drive

Its the 163bhp version and it does feel quite sluggish, or maybe its deceiving as when your sitting at 60mph it feels like when the leon was doing 30mph

I cannot find online what the colour is, can't even find another in this colour for sale, the v5 says its green

In the daylight it looks an off silver / blue

But tonight in the dark it looks very much a green!

People have been asking what colour it is so atm im just saying erm its a kindov silver - green - blue lol

Arctic metallic it is!

Can't work out if its silver or blue or green!

And it seems nobody else online can either!

Got a plan of attack made up

Msport steering wheel

Msport 17's

Eibach springs

Black grille

Twin tailpipe

and a new avatar !

Good choice! We're on our third BMW which is an E89 z4 sdrive23i but still have the octy for the dogs

Oh nice car!

Love the z4's! I would even love a mk1 z4! :o

Bit impractical and thirsty as a day to day car! Would love one for the weekend though

We were lucky enough to have a week of roof down weather when we got it :) . I think that if I ever change the octy , I might just get a Beemer as all of ours have felt solid and nice to drive

I cannot explain how awesome it is to drive

I've had a bunch of cars, mostly your hot hatches and the odd fast saloon, but nothing compares to it

Solid as a rock and just a nice cruising machine! I think next time id go for the auto

Its not overly quick or sporty but its just a joy to drive, glides over bumps and just munches miles

Just a profile pic and signature chance leave then Jase ;)

Sounds a nice buy!
