Is this a good deal for two new tyres?

Featured Replies

Hi folks

Been doing some hunting for two new front tyres for the Occy vRS.

Need 2x225/40 R18.

Wanted something similar to whats on the car now.

I've seen Continental sport Contact 5's.

Can get two delivered for about £225.00

Although I've managed to get my local National Tyres establishment to supply and fit the same tyres for £250 all in.

Does this sound good or can it be beaten? :)

Check it against Blackcircles, Mytyres, etyres for a comparison, though it does seem like a good deal for that brand at 125 fitted each.

I got my tyres from camskill. Delivered next day and were well priced.

£250 fitted for a decent branded tyre is good imo. I had 2 Goodyear Eagle F1s fitted recently for that price, couldn't get cheaper anywhere else. Buying online looks good, but only if you fit & balance yourself. Most places charge a minimum of a tenner to fit and balance, that's if they'll do it at all.

Thanks for the replies guys. :)

Ended up at National Tyres.

Needed replacing pretty quick and to be honest after trawling the web including the sites above there wasn't that much in it price wise.

No more than a tenner. I can live with that.

Plus National Tyres threw in a lifetime free puncture repair for both tyres and of course I have the easy comeback if anything goes wrong. ;)
