Bloody stupid woman yesterday...

Featured Replies

Coming out the shop yesterday with the Mrs and my wee girl - see a woman pull up next to the Fabia and I just knew she would hit it - she had loads of room, but still swung her door wide open and dinged into my rear passenger door.

I was incredulous - she has put a vertical crease right on the upper swage line.

FFS the other side needs fixed where some cretin booted both doors putting dents in them - the passenger side was the good one...and now I need to get a ding removed!

I needed to keep a lid on my temper as my wee girl was there but I was fuming - the stupid woman said "I'm usually very careful" but obviously not nearly careful enough.

Hope it can be fixed - to be honest, you do need to look very hard to see it, but I know it's there and my eye will always be drawn towards it.

I've had the same. Came back to car at train station carpark after work. And some Dickhead had left a creased ding on front passanger door...

Paint and everything. Must have used some serious force...

I honestly can't justify owning a nice car again. I used to drive cars nearly 10-15x what my fabia is worth.

People just don't care in todays society about another persons car. The missus can't get her head around why i would want to spend money a repair either....

Yep you've got to have loads of money to keep a car perfect these days.

Did you not get her insurance details?!?!?!

End of the dat its her fault, shes the careless one, she should pay for it!

I like to make myself known if people park next to my car / if they park next to my car while I am sat in it. It doesn't phase me jst staring at them giving the 'eye' haha!

I'm not going to mention what I do to peoples cars who have bumped their door into mine though.

They have no respect for my car so why should I have any respect for theirs.

This is also why i do not feel bad being "that" arsehole who takes up 2 car parking spaces in a busy car park!

Surely the cost of parking tickets each time for "not parking in the confines of the white lines" outweighs the savings in a dent repair?

I've been known to do this. lol

Some bloke in a 11 plate golf hit my door with his. I watched him do it. Diddnt say anything. Just did the same to his but with a bit more force than he did then moved my car in the corner away from everyone.

Never been given a ticket!

Note that tickets issued by private companies are generally not legally enforceable. So do not pay. Only pay council and police ones. See sites like pepipoo for more information.

Didn't get her details, to be honest, it's probably not worth it - as I say, you do have to look very closely to see it, the problem is, being an ex-car valeter and car nut I am very particular about the condition of my bodywork so probably more anal than some.

Saying that, the bonnet needs a respray from stonechips and there are other bits as well so the car is far from immaculate.

She was leaving the car for the polish guy in the car park to wash it - if he hadn't been there i'd probably have returned the favour on her car (11 plate Peugeot).

Also I didn't actually have any proof it was her that did it - she could have admitted it at the time and then completely denied it when she got home - as is often the case!

Result then!

The other thing that annoys me is when people think it's okay to touch other cars when parking. Eg. Hitting bumpers. Probably best to buy an old battered land rover and give more thab you get in car park land. Then brush paint with enamel coach paint.
