Polo GTI springs?....

Featured Replies

Hi again, i had a good look on the forum for comments people make about having polo GTI springs on there cars but I cant seem to find what I'm looking for.

I'd like to know:

Are they any stiffer? (I would of been a given but I don't know)

Are they lower than standard springs?

Will my insurance company shaft me hard for the different setup as its an OEM part ish sort of?

Any one got any ideas?

9N polo GTi springs?

Can't imagine they would fit due to the Fabia being heavier.

Eibach use the same Pro springs on both the vRS and Gti so yes they will fit.

I too would also like to know the difference between vRS, gti, fr and Cupar springs. Likewise with dampers.

Mmm more research needed, but them fitting is the first hurdle overcome.

No difference in 9n3 gti springs + fabia vrs springs + ibiza fr + ibiza cupra.

I ran "polo gti" eibach pro springs + polo gti front shocks on my fabia + they are the same as the fabia vrs ones ;)

Cool, I just wanted something stiffer and the VRS springs are set up for the heavier diesel accommodating front end so I was thinking of going for the petrol polo option.

They must be different as they have different part numbers. I remember reading that the Cupra ones were softer than the fr. But the Cupra had stiffer dampers.

The aftermarket ones are likely to be the same (eibach vrs and gti are) as they don't have the same R&D.
