plasti dip

Featured Replies

Nope, number 7, with the dead Polo and silver 3 series. Small world!

Indeed small world!

Hmmm. If plasti dip lasts only 12 months, why not just slap something like this on instead?! http://www.toolstati...0/sd2737/p36577 or http://www.toolstati...0/sd2737/p64927

Would of course need the chrome stripping (soak in bleach), a bit of sanding to key the plastic, and a good plastic primer on first though.

I think the reason most diy painted grilles chip is that the lacquer available to a home user is much softer than that used by professional spray shops. I wonder if the paints linked above would stand the test of time a bit better.

Plastidip lasts a long time, depending on how you look after it much like other paint.

I have just plasti dipped my grill easiest mod ever, I advise people to try this before vinyl wrapping!
