Hi guys, I'm wondering how long a warranty the Fabia 1 vRS SE comes with in regards to the bodywork. Thankfully, i have no spoiler laquer peel (yet!) but i do have a small imperfection on the tailgate, the front and rear Skoda badges have turned milky as have the centre caps and the steering wheel badge.

Obviously, the car is an 07 plate so it's past the 3 years but are any of these faults covered by a ten year warranty at all?

The tailgate issue was caused by the rear bumper being fitted squint at the factory, i have taken it off and straightened it, which was very easy to do, but the underside of the tailgate has been left marked.

Where do i stand?

Are you saying it was fitted squint 5 years ago and its just been straightened now.

Have you owned it from new & know there were no previous issues, repairs, knocks with the bumper and rear?

Why did you wait 5 years to correct it now ??

I do not think you stand much chance of a warranty claim to be truthful, but you can try.

Or just do a touch up or have it done for you.

i agree, i don't think i have a chance with the bumper/tailgate issue. i only bought the car a few months ago from my mate. He had it for just under a year and it had the bumper fitted wrong then. It's not from accident damage/repair, it was simply an adjustment needing made which i did.

the badges are the the things that annoy me more, the bootlid/bumper is barely visible and at worst will need a slight touch-up. everything else on the car is 100% mint condition so i'd like to sort the badges out without spending a fortune.

Surely new badges are cheap enough?

Badges would be covered by the three year warranty, that is it.

i haven't priced them up in all honesty but it looks like i might have to.

The one that is going to break the bank is the airbag one as i think it's molded into the airbag itself
