Hi guys

I have annoying rattle from underneath the car when going over bumpy roads but on smoth roads it seems fine its mainly in my own street as our road is poorly maintained i have no idea wot it could be, it cant be wishbone bushes as they where done in aug this year, it sounds like something is loose like you would hit a spanner on a hollo piece of metal pipe, the car drives perfectly alright but its just annoying have you guys got any idea's what to look for. car will be going garage on tuesday when im off

Exhaust heat sheid ???

This.

Lol I had that too, very recently too they must all be rusting through at about the same time

Shut the tailgate and what a racket ! Mine was just this. Thought far worse and that the end can had dropped off, as it does make hell of a racket

I actually removed the original threads and mine is temporarily bodged with plastic cut from takeaway containers lol - til I can do a better fix !

So chances are it is the same thing and very easy to diagnose - look at the tailpipe from the back knelt down

+1, join the club. Haven't had time to fix mine yet.. Sounds pretty bad though when going over pot holes etc lol.

Mine didn't rust - it has crappy clips holding it up & came loose when the car was about 18 months old.

Decent shove upwards and it hasn't caused an issue since =)

Just an update guys took it to my local garage on tuesday he found that a shim was missing on the brake on the drivers side front, so there was movement on the pads which was causing the rattle, put a shim in and now rattle as gone so for now a sound job! Thanks guys for your input

We were wrong!

Glad you got it sorted - rattles are annoying.
