BEFORE YOU READ THIS IS NOT A DIG AT SHARK IN ANYWAY I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY MAP I AM JUAT EXPLAINING MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITCH IS A ONE OFF AND HAS ALL BEEN SORTED <br /><br />does anyone know or can help me were the best place to go for a remap in the north of England. I had my car mapped by shark at inters two years ago and iv been really disappointed with there customer after care its like they grabbed my money and ran i was told just to get in touch after the show and id get a receipt iv tried emailing them two or three times now with no response iv been on the phone to them and they never ring back i feel totally let down by them. I don't get it either people alwase have good stuff to say bout them. Iv asked for advice about getting map tweaked and all sorts with no help what so ever. Can any one help I'm getting fed up now.

You tried phoning ben at shark? Or if you not too far from mansfield driving down to them.

Have to admit that doesn't sound like shark at all, Ben has always been ultra helpful....try to pm them on here

Wow - interesting as they always seem to bend over backwards for my silly little requests BUT, of course, it can happen! I knwo theres been a slight change of staff very recently - the aim of which has been to improve telephone support and to bring in enhanced customer care. I know Ben is off today but I'd ring them and give them one last try as they really are the best to deal with imo - hopefully you wont regret giving them one last try. Besides, tweaking an existing map is surely going to be cheaper than buying a replacement map from scratch? Best of luck.

I wanted to ask a few questions, I tried PM'ing / emailing a few times but no response.

In the end the lad that remapped my car was Ant @ AP Automotive, contacted me. He's been a great help, I know for a map tweak they charge £100. As I was enquiring about a decat. It's £100 for each tweak so would only seem worth it if I had a decat and EGR delete

I get you. Its very off putting. I dealt with a sponsor on here that a lot of people rave about and they did nothing but mess me around and cost me money so I do understand. Id persevere with Shark though as I know theres new staff in there now.

If your name is Stuart Haskins (guessing) then I don't remember a single telephone message or email, or even your name mentioned. I was off for some time at the beginning of the year but if you've been trying to contact us for any time in the other 1 year and 10 months that I have been at work the likely I'd have heard something about it.

Communication has been an issue for us traditionally which we have now rectified.

I'm back to work on Thursday if you'd like to speak to me personally and I'll try to resolve the issue for you.

Out of interest to the OP why would you want to re-remap your car of its already mapped for the sake of an invoice?

if it was me, i would have been such a pest after 2 weeks a company would do what i needed just to get rid of me.

In my business folk have phoned once and i have forgotten, it happens, but a second call, or a disgruntled customer, i usually dont - especially if they have contacted regularly.

In britain i feel we hold back too much to be proper, get on it and dont get off until its sorted. After 2 years im sure i would have totally forgotten any customer, and thats not cos i dont care

I really want a decat but it's not just £180 for the decat it's like £280 because of the map adjustment too!

Thanks for the reply i wasn't implying that i wasn't happy with the map that i got coz i think its ******* brilliant just interested to get it tweaked. I was just interested to hear if any one else had had a similar experience i have only heard good things about yourself

To be honest the only time it went into limp mode was on the way home after i first had the map done. I was sitting at top speed with smoke poring out the back for a good 5 miles tho needless to say i haven't been a tit and done that again. With the decat i did find the car a little more responsive but wanting to get it tweaked before i do any potential damage to be on the safe side

You'll want the n75 map tweaking to reduce any over boost caused by the decat.

Haha sod that I've never even been near to top speed or even near to the red on the rev limit. I may try it and see how I get on from there

trouble is a thread like this can help people jump to incorrect conclusions, It seems yes they overlooked your email, and a member of staff forgot to get back to you. Any new custom on here would take one look at title and go "oh i wont go there then".

Maybe rename it "Excellent Shark map, but struggling to cantact them for tweak" after all they are trying to run a business and things like that can make a dent.
