hi guys i am having a hard time finding out what i want to know so find my self here and again asking the people that know

i am looking to uprate my suspension but i dont want to change the ride hight and if i do need to change the hight i am only willing to drop my 10mm all i really want to do is stiffen the springs so anyone know a car to take the springs off and use or what i need to ask for at the parts shop

thanx for reading

If you're just looking to stiffen things up a bit ARB is popular, have a search man

If you don't want to change the height then maybe go for a set of Bilstein B6 dampers and some uprated ARBs.

those raise the suspension though?

These in Conjustion with coilovers/Springs and dampers will take it back to normal height.

but wont give the car decent handling..as the shock will be out of its 'normal' area of travel due to being raised. Its like putting low springs on standard shocks, just doesn't work well.

You could just get a set of coilovers and run them at standard ride height, no need to lower with them at all.

You can't just buy any old springs from different models and expect things to work, in fact it'll proberbly get a whole lot worse. You cannot use Golf springs for example, as the back end of the Octavia is much heavier than a golf so the car will sit lower at the back than the front.

The vRS is already lower than a standard Octavia, so if you bought standard Octavia suspension then the car will end up sitting 15mm higher than it does now.

don't think that will work with coilovers, as they are already lowered over stock. You are right though, running other cars suspension is a bad idea!

Looking at my weitecs I reckon they'll go higher than stock

Exactly that.

Never used them myself, but seem widely accept

KW for example do specific spacers for their coilovers, aviable in 3 sizes
