Central Locking Issue

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I bought my VRS about a month ago now and its going well, it’s had a few little teething issues but touch wood nothing major. The only real issue im having though is the central locking. When i bought the car the remote wouldn’t work, i told the salesman this and he advised bring it back in and i will change the battery. Changed the battery and it still didn’t work. I can open the car manually but when i do this the alarm goes off for about a second when turning the key to start the car. The small red light on the key lights up when i press the button but the garage insist that the fob is broken?

Has anyone else had this issue??

I have been in touch with the garage and they have ordered me a new fob and i am just waiting to get the car booked in to get coded and a new spare key ordered.

Any help to finding out what the issue is would be appreciated

Cheers

Darren

How many fobs have you got?

If you've got 2, have you tried coding it to the car?

Wow thats useful!

i only have 1 key. The dealer only received one with the car so has agreed to order me one from Skoda but the 1 key that i have at the moment will not remotely work

U can manually code the key with only 1 key....and a screwdriver..

U just take the drivers lock barrel out (using a torx20 screwdriver) + use the screwdriver to hold it in lock ;)
