K & N?

Featured Replies

Hi all, has anyone fitted/used a K & N filter in a Felly. I'm thinking of going for one as a replacement option & user experience is always valuable. Cheers, Rob

Filter for what? Air, fuel, oil, pollen?

I have been told on here that it makes little difference over the standard one, which flows more than enough air. It is the same filter element as a chrysler 350c, I dare say if there is enough airflow for one of them its prob sufficient for a felly! I've never used one personally tho.

Main air ;)

Waste of money.... Sorry.

You gain nothing whatsoever, in fact my pickup made 129.6bhp on the rollers with the standard airbox fitted, and 123.9 with a cone filter fitted..

Thanks Tom. To be fair K & N only quote + 1 to 4 bhp gain & my greater concern would be any effect on fuel efficiency. Perhaps longer term the gain is up to 50k service intervals & clean/re-use for more miles than I'll need on the old girl ;)
