  • Dear Santa.....

  • Fit as well as the oem one does, I've had mine off since fitted by forge, removal & refit took no time at all, plastic cowling around the end tanks all snug without hacking away with a cutter

  • Dear paypal... HURRY THE **** UP WITH MY MONEY =( =( =(! *wink*

So tempted!!

How would this work with and APR stage 1?

I ran this IC on my car when unmodified, TMC tuning box & APR stage 1, now running stage 2 APR. With the car completely untouched the gains were noticeable, and got better step by step going from TMC box to APR stage 1 to stage 2 which I currently run with TB milltek exhaust.

Leon.

Thanks for that.

Ok with the feeling, bring the data up :-)

IMO, an intercooler should be one of the first mods when looking at extra power, and the intercooler will work with any map, its nto software dependant

Do you have any misfiring issues??

I had misfire problems when I used the NGK 7's & 8 spark plugs people bang on about on the forum, to the extent one spark plugs failed completely which sent my car into limp mode miles from home, luckily I had a new pack of genuine OEM plugs and the tools to replace them in the car!

Apart from the upset using none genuine plugs the car has been fine with no misfire issues or any problems what so ever, on the couple of rollers the graphs drop off at 6/6.5k looks to be caused by misfires but is not felt when driving + I tend to change up just before 6.5k anyhow. :)

Nice. i thought you already had an IC?

Nice. i thought you already had an IC?

Well, all off us already has intercoolers on the cars ;).

No, I tried to get some development going but let's just say the prices where appaling at best...

They wanted a total of 1700 £ for a intercooler + a watercooler...

Which still wouldn't have been as effective as the pace-kit.

Hopefully I can install it this or the coming weekend and give some "reviews" pre-software =).

lol. I thought you had the HG interooler on yours, hence the post.

Question. How much better is the forge intercooler front the stock one?

I'm surprised you had trouble with the NGK 7's and 8's, as I thought they were meant to be better higher up the rev range than the stock 6's, and better if your car was mapped? I might be wrong though

I burnt two of the sevens out in 300 odd miles and two eights out in just under 500..went back using oem plugs from the dealers and not one single problem!

Unfortunatly, I haven't been able to find a garage-spot.

Might be able to replace it next weekend (we got snow here you know and laws against driving without winter-tyres ;) ).

  • 1 year later...

2 year old thread and there are more recent ones, but bump for Mathewl.

  • 4 weeks later...

I missed this bump,

Nice graph at the start of the thread to show gains on a stock car.

Amazing what a bump will do, just spoke to john at awesome and purchased the forge ic, itg maxogen cia, ap coil overs

And a h&r rear arb. Now I just have to wait for it to cross the Indian Ocean : )

Sadly yes it is cheaper to buy from the uk who wants to pay $1695 for an ic or $850 for 2 arb's.

So for an extra $100 I got all my parts inc delivery, I should also mention I live on an island which means

Postage in Australia is pricey for me.

I fitted a forge fmic on the drive last week. At a bargain price too
