My experience of winter economy:

Bugger all difference. By far the biggest factor on economy when using any fuel, in any temperatures is what yo do with your right foot, and gear selection. Simple.

That is true.....certainly the biggest factor in improving fuel economy.

You need to closely monitor your fuel economy to notice the difference......but there is a difference in cold temperatures.....possibly up to 10%.
