can you fit heated seats to a vrs

Featured Replies

pos looking for a vrs dsg estate in blue, white or silver, petrol or derv.sunset glass and bumwarmers but finding this combination is proving tricky to say the least!!is it possible to fit the heated seats yourself?

Yes it's possible, it won't be oem though unless you buy all the bits. The hardest bit will be removing the seat covers.

standard sorry

There was a heater panel of the bay of e with the heated seat switches, £75 irc. You would then need the heaters, the loom etc. a vw dealer is selling retro kit albeit for a mk iv golf and it was £280. I'll post the links when not on the iPad

i have heated seats in mine. I'm glad I spec'd them but tbh if I had another vRS without them I wouldn't miss them - they take a lot longer to warm up than the gti I had before, something to do with the different seat material i guess.

ie you might go through a lot of £ and hassle and then be disappointed - just a thought..

I hear this time and again from Skoda owners with heated seats. Maybe it's because I went for the factory "leather" option on my car too, however the heated seats and hot within seconds of me switching them on. In fact I'll be hardly a mile down the road before I have to switch them from 3 to 2 as they are simply too hot.

Aldi heated seat covers will do the trick, they do work, cheap as well, fit any seat, only downside the seat lookes like its wired to a life support system but hey you have a warm bum without any work or stress, sell the car keep them for the next.

oh bet they look fab in your blackline lol

Ha Ha very funny it was a joke but i would do it before i ripped my new seats apart, joking apart i have had them on many bmw m/cs they are greaaaat but i would not retro fit them on leather seatsin a new car .mainly because im a coward and tight

I have heated seats in my L&K and have really appreciated them the past week or so. They heat up before I get to the end of the road where it takes the heater a good 10 minutes or so to get warm.

I have the alacantra trim and not leathe if it makes a difference.

Having said all that, I would'nt count them as a must have when I buy my next car.
