Citigo Insurance Quotes.

Featured Replies

Just renewed, it's dropped down the £218.22 for the pair of us, no milage restriction.

Bargain. :)

(For 30 year old commuting into London, not for retired person living up a mountain)

The advantage is you live in essex. I've done qoutes using my friends address and its some £300+ less than where I live in rip off London.

Just got a quote from Skoda for my other halfs Citigo 75ps Elegance. £3,300. for comp, protected NCD, hire car. no go faster bits. located near southhampton . It was for two 50 year olds plus one 22 and one 19 year old with at least 2 years NCD for the kids. Direct line gave me an identical quote of £425.

£3300-00!!!,is that a mistake?.As I said Skoda are quite happy to sell you the car but are not quite so keen on insuring it.Sort of story you see on BBC's Watchdog.

Skoda's insurance is always high, when I got the octavia the insurance was 3 times as much as the one I went with.

£425 is not bad with the kids on it. On the fiat its over £1k with my younger brother as a new driver.

The citigo is alot less.

Sorry slight cockup it was exactly £3088.13 one off payment or £280.51 per month?

£425 is a great quote with your young drivers added. Although Direct Line is not my preferred choice to go with (past customer, gave them the elbow over price and attitude on the phone)

Anyways I'm with Skoda insurance as they beat my current insurer Aviva (with a second car) by £10. It was £212 with all extras added, really was comprehensive.

Remember the majority of people will never claim on their insurance so will say it was either good or bad. If it was cheap it was good, likewise if it was expensive it may be considered bad or overpriced.

The only time you find out how good your insurance really is, is when you come to use it !!

I had a little prang (Not allowed to call it an accident) a couple of years ago and direct line have been fantastic. All sorted. Mind you i renew online as you can get multicar discount on each car through the website.

I found skodas insurance quote reasonable

£298.00

Me 37 years old 10 years no claims 20 year license

Mrs malc 36 12 year license 12 years no claims

Oh and 1 sp 30

Admiral on the other hand are a joke £650

I've tried all the usual suspects including Saga (yes I'm over 50, and a bit more) and they were a joke for saying they are supposed to favour us. Tried other over 50's insurance co and same there. It's just a gimmick, I stuck with Aviva in the end for the second car, but don't half try it on and bump up your premium expecting you to pay up.

Just renewed my insurance on my Octy vRS and is I'm toying with downsizing I used a the meerkat site to quote on a 75bhp Elegance Citygo. The best I could find was only £70 less than the vRS!

Citigo elegance without any options is a group 2 car,add the apus alloys and bonnet stripes etc and I reckon that pushs the same car up to group 15 or there abouts.

Skoda dont' mention that in the brochures do they?.

13 group increase for 1" larger alloys and some stickers?

No.

The car will always be a group 2, the modifications just incur an additional charge.

I went with Liverpool Victoria, seemed the best of a bad bunch to be honest.

I'm over 50 and agree with MickA, Saga are a joke.

Saga,totally useless I agree.

Wife has just renewed with LV when she tried for quotes no one even Skoda recognised City safe. Saw in auto express that should get you a discount??

Renewal was £218 though for 75 Elegance!

I have 3 cars on Admiral Multicar Policy - Yeti, Citigo and a Z3. £622 for the lot with 12 years NCB on the Citigo - 1 Year on the Yeti and none on the Z3. Admiral quoted £980 at renewal so I got quotes on line and then they price matched their own quotes. I am 57 with a clean licence as is my wife.

When we were looking into buying the Citigo we did the usual online stuff.

Not sure if you know, but Admiral, Diamond and Elephant are all arms of the same company.

Logically you would expect the same premium from all 3 but they a way different.

A much as £900 difference between Admiral and Diamond !

Diamond quoted £480 fully comp for a 21 yr old female with 1 yr NCB.

Compared to £1500 for a pug 106 made it a no brainer.

As a side note, we recently changed a fabia vRs for an Octy vRS.

Newer, higher value, bigger and more powerful car and the insurance is £60 cheaper ?

Go figure ??

Cheapest quote we've got (as we're having the 7 day insurance to drive it away on Saturday) is £183 with The Post Office. Thats for SWMBO and me to drive on comprehensive cover. This includes legal cover, windscreen cover etc. but no breakdown as I don't need it. This quote is with £0 vol excess and £100 compulsory.

Wifeys insurance tends to be between 200 and 250 no matter what she drives - she went from a Jaguar XJ-S to a Mini 1000 and it dropped £3..to a Smart Roadster, up by £11. Citigo just over £200 from memory.

One year, the cheapest quote for me on a Jeep Cherokee (the hack) was from Sheilas Wheels..

Have found it drops by about 10% if you part it on the road instead of on your drive and even more if you add an additional (safe) driver. If you don't have a partner/spouse, add a parent...
