What do you get for the extra

Featured Replies

The diesel, I do 30,000 miles a year.

Think the oiler is a higher spec? I believe the Ambiente is the equivelent of the SE and quite basic while the elegance is more plush and higher up the spec range and has things like cruise control and a better interior amongst other things. diesels always go for more and it's 6 months younger which is why it's more expensive I guess

But £2500 is nearly a third more...forthe same car!

The 1.8TSi is a faster car by miles and not bad MPG at about 40

its a very tempting if you want a 4 year old car for little outlay

You get a lot more kit with the Elegance, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Auto Dipping Interior Mirror, Rear parking sensors, electric front and rear windows, leather steering wheel etc... The Ambiente is very basic and has none of these as standard. The diesel is also cheaper to tax, so I'd be going for the newer more expensive diesel.

Certainly not the petrol.

With that kind of mileage, it's obviously been a rep mobile or similar......which means it's probably been driven like it's been stolen for it's whole life.

The interior is probably tatty.....in fact, I bet at that price, overall it's a bit of a dog.

I've got an Ambiente and that has front & rear electric windows.

Excuse me! Not all reps drive like idiots! Most of my driving is motorway with steady cruising. Mine is 3 years old, the engine has never performed better and the interior is like new.

I'd go with the elegance for reasons already stated. I'd rather have high miles as it probably means its had an easier life overall IMO. :-)
