AUX port- non Skoda!

Featured Replies

Hi all

Before i start ill let you know i know absolutely nothing about in car entertainment and how it works!

Recently bought a 306 winter run around, it had a blocked radio so i bought one from halfrauds with an AUX port for my ipod, this all works fine and as it should but if i pause the ipod or inbetween changing changing track it sounds like a record player! So i checked it was not the cable, put it in the Octy and it worked fine with no sound interference so why is it a different story in the after market head unit? Also how do i go about stopping the noises

Its just a interference noise, if i turn the volume right up on my Fabia with my aftermarket iPod connector i can hear it, and with the revs it gets louder. Wouldn't say its anything to worry about really.

It's electronic interference you can get things that go on the live wire that stop it I get it with my amp in the Landy . Squeels with revs etc / charge from alternator

It seems to be pretty constant all the time, regardless of revs ect

Although the Octy does do this but on then on CD for some reason i can hear the turbo spool up through the speakers, only very faint

Reads like minor background noise. Does it do it if you move the ipod further away from the dash? If so, you could try relocating it to a less noisy location.

No it does it no matter where abouts it is. Im totally boggled tbh and it actually does sound like i have record player in the car

Two things:

1) Does this on my Octy with the factory fit Stream MP3, the retro-fit Bolero and the retro-fit RCD310.

2) Didn't think you were old enough to remember ye olde vinyl. ;) ;)

This will be an earth problem.

Back on topic;

It will be electrical interference as above. There isnt much you can do about it really
