Kitchens are over rated.......Dewi just needs to be turned into a fast food delivery wagon

Getting fed up with take-aways!!

We are managing with a kettle, microwave, George Forman grille and 2 camping stoves!

Been to the pub the last 2 Sundays, but this weekend I'm working so that's not available. I might have to cook in the oven here!

You've been missed!

Croeso'n ôl :hi: (if I can trust Google Translate!)

Cook? what is the world coming to?

I think that in many parts of Wales the practice of gnawing raw sheep is out of fashion, so don't mock!

Welcome back Graham-hope the settling in goes well.

I wasn't thinking of raw food, just not cooking. That's what the better half is better at than me

Welcome back Graham, use the cooker in your caravan :D . Did you find bobdog in any of your corners he is still AWL :wonder: .

Have you now given up the shop :wonder:

Yes, welcome back Graham hope all went well :)

As wakev said above we still haven't found Bob, perhaps we should rustle up a search party :wonder:

Maybe Bobdog's out chasing sheep? (Yorkshire ones!!) Or did someone put one of those gate things on his stairs that he can't now get past?

Come on Bobdog... we're missing you!!

Kevin,

Caravan is in storage until we can modify the front garden to build a drive. At least our deeds allow us to have it there! And yes we have given up the shop; it is now being rented by another couple still as a pet food shop. Hopefully they will buy it in 6 months time!

Bobdog not found, I'm afraid.

Just had a look at Bobdogs profile page his last post was a rather angry one at the end of a not too pleasant spat in August. Perhaps he has decided not to carry on with the Forum, maybe a couple of PM's would bring him out of the corner.

Perhaps we could have a bring back Bobdog post, in the style of 'this is your life/memories of classic posts!

Back here for 3 nightshifts!

No internet at home as BT now say that the current "supply" to the house is not suitable and has got to be up-graded; more delay!!

Dewi is still being a removal van. Tenants have decided that they now would like access to the loft so that has got to be cleared now. I'm beginning to wonder who is making the rules??

What ever happens Dewi is going in for some TLC next Friday (20th) down at Sinclair Skoda in Swansea. He is due his third service at 55k. Told to expect about £300 for this one, as it includes about £100 for the Haldex oil change and the brake fluid change. Mind you SWMBO has decided that whilst in Swansea we can go and find some curtain material and various "bits" for the bathroom!!

PM sent to Bob, as I might have been part of the problem. (Crawl, crawl)

And we still haven't got a kitchen!!

BT really are a pain ...nothing ever happens fast with them

Say Hi to Martin at Sinclairs for me  and to My poor Yeti that is probably sat in the car park.

Wondered why the forum was very quiet ...but with Bobdog missing that would explain it

Same here. Moved last week and BT cannot install anything until the 15th of January.

Called virgin and they are coming this week for a much faster connection that will cost less. Bye bye BT :)

Still no bloody internet!!

Problem with BT now been escalated to a formal complaint by my ISP!!

hope you get it sorted soon, Bob has not been sent to the corner yet

MP? MEP?? Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg????

Father Christmas? Tooth Fairy?

Still no bloody internet!!

Wont do much good, they have a "service crisis" that's been ongoing for much of the year. Basically they get paid no matter what, Ofcom just regulate the price not the quality. So the more BT cut costs (and quality) the better the margin for BT

They promised my ISP that an engineer would check the line and "correct" as required last Monday, but apparently it was too cold for them to do the job!!

And I've now been told that they only "work" in Llani on 2 days a week!!

According to the WAG details we were supposed to be getting superfast broadband but that has now been put-back to an unspecified date, so perhaps a letter to the AM might be needed.

In the meantime, Dewi the Yeti is still being used as a van, but not as much. Quick trip to Swansea on Friday for his third service at Sinclair's, which made me £400 lighter in the wallet plus Sheila wanted to go shopping, so we ended up driving home late Friday evening with 4 pairs of curtains, a bathroom cabinet, a couple of lightshades and God knows what else! Have got to go back down as one of the horns isn't working plus the front badge has got to be replaced. I persuaded them that this could wait until Feb when they can fit them at the same time as they MOT Dewi, plus it gives me a chance to replenish the "house fund" as Sheila is already writing her list for then!!

I know the feeling! I'm struggling to understand that despite the fact we've sold a massive 5 bedroom barn conversion, and bought a small 3 bedroom cottage, we apparently need more stuff. So far that's a kettle, toaster, coffee machine, food processor, set of saucepans, waste bin, curtains, towels, duvet, 2 complete sets of bed linen, television ... ??? Meanwhile I can't get my MG in the garage because of the bed, table, two wardrobes, chest of drawers, chairs, fridge freezer, old saucepans and other shizz that won't fit in the house and that apparently I am responsible for selling or otherwise disposing of!

I know the feeling. We, as in SWMBO, has decided the house needs a complete revamp from top to bottom. This morning my pre breakfast treat was to move the settee from the dining room to the conservatory for collection by the British Heart Foundation. A wonderful organisation but I'm not sure why we need to be responsible for restocking all its local stores.Anyway tomorrow sees the arrival of two leather chairs to replace the settee. I have gauged their cost, each, to be more than I paid for my new 1975 Mini. I just hope they are more comfortable.

10 days for openreach?

Consider yourself lucky...

They are quoting about 21 days+ for new installs at the moment and have approx. 22K outstanding faults to fix.

the average is currently 35 working days

the average is currently 35 working days

Well my information was second hand from our "sister" ISP.

Thankfully i have very little to do with open reach but what little i do know they are suffering severe brown stuff and whirly blades with regards to fault fix and installs.

That was why my opening gambit was 10 days to be considered lucky (if it happened).
