Skoda Assist Call Out Record...

Recommended Posts

And here I am again, waiting for Skoda Assist... New sparks seem to have lasted about 250 miles but I'm now on permanent EML and EPC lights and cylinder shut down... Only I can't re-enable the cylinder..

Damo, if Skoda Assist (RAC) have not arrived yet ask the guy if he can do a compression check. I wonder if yours may be going the same way as mine did.

Mine just went though unlike yours.

The car is gone... 4th set of plugs in 8k and this set lasted 200 miles... Think this has actually done the piston/cylinder as even with a new plug in it was still missing... I'm now rocking an Hyundai i20 1.2

Have you reported this saga to the motoring press, i.e. Auto Express etc.? I think it might add leverage to you claim. CC a copy of your letter to the media to Skoda Customer Care.

I will be writing to Chemnitz factory in Germany to the head guy, who is also a chief engineer responsible for the design of the engines, with all the evidence I have from the forums. Wonder how is he going to respond to this?

Don't throw away your plugs, worth keeping.

Could all of you with similar problems do a short summary, either in a post or PM to me so I could include it in my e-mail?
