Spotted a bit of oil around my EGR, is this anythin to worry about?

Mines the same and 90% of customers vw's are also.

I took mine off about a month ago and cleaned it inside and out, think this has fixed it but havnt looked recently.

Id be more worried about the turbo pipe held half on by a cable tie lol :D...

.. u shud have got an egr delete on the group buy .. would have solved both ur issues ..

... but to answer ur question no the tiny leak on your EGR valve is nothing to worry about

I have wounderd what its for mind... Seems to be a small breather hole but always ends up with oil leaking out...

Any expert's know exactly what its for and why it leaks?

Cool that's good to know. The cable tie just stops the pipe from comin a bit loose. It Just holds it straight

My mates EGR on his 1.4 Polo TDI leaks like this - He had it off and cleaned it - Still leaks.

Yes pretty normal, mines the same even though the EGR isn't that old, I just wipe it clean now and again.
