Just wondering how/where you would wire a rear facing camera in? As in stuck on the rear window.

Mine is wired into the ignition live on the rear wiper, so all the wiring is kept in the tailgate.

That way it comes on automatically when I drive.

Makes sense, thank you. I'm thinking though that you would want one with the motion detection as say your parked in a space, someone reverses out next to you, misjudges and scrapes down the rear - you won't see the number plate or anything if you only have the front facing camera. How would you wire it in then?

I'm planning the same, and mounting the camera on the nearside of the screen to minimise the wiring needed, as the wiring for the bootlid runs down that side anyway (at least it does in the fabia)

I'd either look for an ignition live, or more likely buy a Power Magic.

This stores power and then runs the camera while the ignition is off, saving it running down the battery.

Athough two cameras are fine overnight, after a few days they will deplete the battery. So buying the Power Magic unit might be sensible.

Yes have seen this, but where would you connect the Power Magic for the rear camera in the car? Can you have more than one camera connected to the Power Magic in which case the wires will have to run through the car to the front?

The Power Magic fits inline between the power source and the Camera power wire. One per Camera.

So you just hide the Power Magic behind the rear panel I believe, although I've never bought one.

Yes I ran mine behind the roof lining and down the A pillar (keep the wire away from the airbag) to the fusebox:
