Anyone used the Torque Android OBD analyser App?

Featured Replies

For those who have not heard of it (including me till today) Torque is an Android App (£2.95) that combined with an OBD II Bluetooth adapter (£10+)

allows you to for example:

* Clear car OBD faults

* Measure BHP, Torque & 0-60

* See what your car is doing in realtime, get OBD fault codes, car performance, sensor data and more!

* Use the GPS to provide tracker logs with OBD engine logging so you can see what you were doing at any point in time

etc etc

see full description at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en

Sounds pretty cool.

What I was wondering is has anyone tried it on an Octavia? and does anyone have any recommendations on the best OBD II Bluetooth adaptors?

the app description includes some recommended adaptors but there is no substitute for a bit of first hand experience.

thanks

I like the look of this. Hopefully something to have a play with when the mother-in-law is down at Christmas!

I’m a bit curious about the obd2 Bluetooth transmitter though. The eBay page isn’t too informative, could you let me know how it charges and how quickly it refreshes/transmits data to the phone (the Torque website seems to look down at anything costing less than $100).

Cheers.

I got that one above, it's powered from the obd port, can be a little twitchy at times, but for a tenner it does the job

Turns out I couldn't wait until Christmas. Now installed and working well. Geektastic :thumbup:
